What’s New and What’s Up

by Lyn Foley on October 24, 2012

The Edom Art Festival was wonderful in every way! The show sponsors, the volunteers, the other artists, and you, my dear friends and customers, were especially nice. The Texas fall weather was at the top of the scale towards perfect. Set-up was easy, and thanks to Beth and another helper, so was breakdown. If you were there, thank you again.

So, on the crest of Edom’s high wave, Jim and I are home and back at work. Your special requests and orders will be shipped out soon. My creativity is soaring – the crispy fall weather must be blowing through and freshening my brain cells. The first of my new “facets” or “melting ice cubes” necklaces sold, so I’ve got more of those in different colors on the way. I am also working on a series of necklaces in graduated lengths that can be purchased and worn together or purchased and worn individually. Other ideas inspired by the Chihuly show are also bubbling around my torch and bead bench.

I’m a busy girl (as usual). Tomorrow I’ll be talking about Go Anyway: Sailing Around the World with Parkinson’s  in Brenham at the Senior Saints meeting. Find me at the Pahl House of the First Baptist Church at 11 am. to hear me read from my book (and pick up a copy if you want one.)

Next week I’ll be setting up for a show at The Gallery at Round Top. My full line will be in the gallery from Friday November 2nd through Sunday November 4th. I’ll be there as well on Saturday the 3rd of November.  Here’s a great chance for you to see my special  $29 pendants, each with one of my different, unusal glass beads. I put them on nice chains (choose your length) and package them in a nice satin bag that includes a gift tag.  There are no pictures of these pendants, and they are not on the web site, so come get see them in person. (Great stocking stuffer!)

I’ll leave you today with a collage of four new necklaces that are available now on the web site (see “What’s New?” on the home page.)
