Music for the Eyes in Round Top and Earrings in Houston

by Lyn Foley on January 25, 2013

Just a quick post to let you know that tomorrow, Saturday, January 26th, is the opening of “Music for the Eyes” at  The Gallery at Round Top, with works of art inspired by music. One of the pieces I’ll be showing is inspired by  “I Bless the Rains Down in Africa” by Toto. (Note to self: Must learn how to embed music into my blog).

The long necklace, entitled “African Shields”, is full of my handmade glass beads, some metal and bone beads from Africa, and lots of wirework. Wear it long or double it. A “wow” for sure…..

I’ll miss the music show opening since I’ll be in Houston selling earrings tomorrow at the 18 Hands Gallery during the Earring Slam Jam.   Come on over if you’re out and about in Houston tomorrow. I’d love to see you and you’ll have a truly great selection of  my earrings – I’ve made more than 100 pairs!

Going to drive down to Houston today to set up, and do all the shopping I save up for  when I’m headin’ to “the city.” Meanwhile, here’s a peek at a fun pair of blue swingy disks earrings – my glass  set with sterling silver and turquoise.
