Texas Arts & Crafts Festival

by Lyn Foley on May 12, 2013

The Texas Art and Craft Festival opens in Kerrville on Friday, May 24th at 5 PM. We’ll be there all day Saturday the 25th, and Sunday the 26th from 9-5 each day. The show will NOT be open on Memorial Day, so we will have a holiday on Monday along with you.

Thank you to everyone who bought something from me in Fayetteville last weekend. I really appreciate your business, support, and love.

I am making more beads and jewelry - and at the same time feeling the need to step up my pace, especially in the photography department. Some of my new items are now listed on the web site, but alas, not all of them. Your best bet, as always, is to buy the piece you love when you see it, as who knows when I’ll  get it posted, or make another like it. My work remains, for the most part, “One of a Kind.”

The striking necklace shown at the top of this page was tried on during Art Walk, but surprisingly didn’t sell. It is full of my hollow glass beads, a few of my wire beads, and has copper spacers. An antique bead from Tibet holds center court, and other antique beads  are interspersed along the 20 inch length. My sterling silver signature clasp closes the necklace. The price is $385. E-mail me before I leave for the show next week if you would like it for your own.

For now, I’m back to work. It’s lampworking and jewelry making most every day ’til August, my breather month.

Happy Mother’s Day!  I  hope your children or anyone you love and care for in a motherly fashion is especially good to you today.

See you soon!
