Artscape at the Arboretum on the Horizon

by Lyn Foley on April 6, 2014

Spring has burst forth in a profusion of bluebonnets and other Texas wildflowers here in Round Top. We have also seen the mushrooming of tents over the last few weeks as the semi-annual Antique Shows have filled our tiny town with many hundreds of vendors, and thousands of shoppers and visitors. I’ve been set up and selling my jewelry at The Gallery At Round Top – and  have been so busy I didn’t even get a post written about it.  Ah, I thought I was going to slow down after my heart surgery last fall – not so.

Today while the antique dealers fold their tents and leave town,  I’ll be packing up from the gallery show. Monday I begin preparing for Artscape,  coming up at the Dallas Arboretum April 25th (Member Preview), April 26th and 27th. My torch will be burning most every morning until the show – and I’ll be using the beads I make to create designs in the afternoons. I am bursting like spring with new ideas – some of them sketched out on paper, others floating around in my mind’s eye.

I’ll see what materializes. I plan to keep you posted with a sneak preview later. Meanwhile, here’s a photo of a necklace I made just this week – “Unearthed with Scribbles”
