It’s that time of year again in a small Texas town of only 90 people, when vendors arrive and change the population from 90 to over 30 thousand! “Antique Week” is really a misnomer, since the event lasts for about three weeks, give or take some days here and there. Each locale in the 20 to 30 miles of vendor booths has different quirks and opening hours. The entire extravaganza is hard to pin down and difficult to explain. It’s Texas, y’all, and along with everything grandma might have had in her attic, you’ll find all kinds of fun, food, gabbing, dancing, and of course, shopping, shopping, and more shopping. One of the best places online to find out more is at The Round Top Register.
I am one of the lucky ducks that lives in Round Top – and my work is shown year round at The Gallery at Round Top – a lovely gallery in the heart of “town.” Each Antique Week I bring all my cases of jewelry into the Gallery for a special show. Sorry, folks, I don’t have the stamina anymore to be there in person for the entire three weeks, so the Gallery staff will show it to you from September 22nd through October 2nd this year. I will be there in person on Saturdays, both September the 24th and October the 1st. I’d love to see you – so drop by to see my core collection ( there are some new pieces here) and tell me hello. Y’all come!
P.S. The Fiesta Collection will not be at the Gallery – it is available only online.
